![]() 3D Sonic games (and even Sonic in Smash Bros) feels. Specifically, I always had a hard time with jump accuracy, trying to land in a specific spot. I'm also not a fan of 3D Sonic games because frankly I feel they haven't been done well (not even Sonic Adventure, etc.) They just feel janky with getting whipped every which way, changing directions/whiplash. ![]() And you can't just ignore the Switch userbase and tell Nintendo to piss off because it's too big to ignore for ROI purposes.Īnyway, I'm not too hopeful this will play well on Switch but it certainly does look cool in concept. Having to develop and optimize for both Switch and the other systems is probably a nightmare. I really feel for developers these days: A HUGE market for the underpowered Switch and a divided market with PlayStation and Xbox. do we often question why the likes of Bayview, Rockport and Fairheaven look like the city planners merged a bunch of autodromes and filled them with buildings?□ If you have a character defined by speed, giving him proper room and freeroam for it always feels it would be definitely cooler to find all this architecture tied to the lore, but from our outside perspective. Really the most promising Sonic game since Chronicles to my taste. Not sure what part of this looks remotely "sparse" or "empty", but after seeing fans apply these labels to games like BotW and Xenoblade, that's not something to scratch one's head about.□ So far, the world looks visually captivating (I said "visually", you framerate/resolution nerds, not "graphically") and its contents are exactly what I've long grown to be a sucker for (even despite recurrently sucking at□) - to the point where I might be tempted to cut through the franchise backlog queue and get this game.
